FAQs

Do you do in-person sessions?

Nope! Everything we do is online which allows us to work with clients all over the world, from anywhere in the world, which means more access to support when you need it most!

How long until I see results / feel better?

It all depends on the person and how committed they are to showing up for themselves between sessions because we don’t heal you, you heal you! That being said, consistency is key so we usually tell clients to invest a minimum of 6 months to consistent appointments.

Why don’t you do one-off sessions for new clients?

The reality is, you can’t change your life by meeting only when life is in crisis so our work with clients isn’t ‘one and done’. We heavily invest our time, energy and resources in our clients and we expect investment from them in return — which is why we see such incredible results!

Do you work with couples?

We do! And we require our couples to do individual sessions too. Everyone brings their ‘stuff’ into relationships and often when doing couples’ work, clients (and the professionals working with them — therapists, coaches, counsellors) can overlook the individual ‘stuff’ that is impacting the relationship. We prioritize looking at it all so clients can deal with it, heal from it and shift how it shows up in their relationship.

Do you take insurance?

We don’t. We are a cash pay only practice. If you would like to use your insurance, we recommend asking your insurance for a list of providers in their network.

Do you have sliding scale rates?

We carry a small number of sliding scale clients at any given time. While we prioritize students and individuals under the age of 25, the option is open to anyone. Simply let us know finances are a barrier and we can provide you with an application. Sliding scale spots require a 3 month commitment and are offered based on prioritization of needs (via application process). If you don’t meet the criteria for a sliding scale spot, after you have completed the First Four, there are options to continue to work together at various price points.

Are you therapists?

While we have Masters level degrees in psychology and the mental health field, we do not practice as therapists. Instead, we practice as coaches… This allows us more flexibility with the methodologies we use and creates space for authentic relationships which we believe is a foundational piece to healing.

Do you work with kids?

We like to say we work ‘kid adjacent’ — while we have TONS of experience working with kids (it’s where our careers and our passion for trauma started!) we no longer see children as clients for a couple of reasons: #1: Zoom doesn’t work as well for children — they need to be able to read body language, play, interact, etc. and #2: We are passionate about helping the ‘grown ups’ in children’s lives learn how to best show up so that children feel safe, secure, loved, seen, heard and understood. Our goal is to prevent trauma in little ones via working with the adults in their life. That has looked like: parenting support, helping teachers set up trauma-informed classrooms, meeting with school staff as a child’s advocate, being part of IEP meetings and everything in between.

How do you keep in touch with clients between sessions?

When we work 1:1 with clients, we create an energetic container the moment we decide to work together and those clients have access to us between sessions as discussed during the First Four – via text, email, or voice note. Once we are no longer working together on a consistent basis (minimum of 2 sessions per month on subscription), that container closes. If you are no longer a consistent client, you can still access us between sessions via text or voice note on an ‘as needed basis’ for a small fee.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of 24hrs notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so, will result in a $100 charge for the time slot. We know that life happens and things can come up unexpectedly, so we always have grace and offer one missed ‘freebie’ before charging.

Do you offer packages or programs?

Yes and no. Kinda? lol Due to the unique nature of how we work, after completing the First Four, each client is given an individualized roadmap that outlines our assessment for treatment — in other words, your own unique program! What makes us different is the program we provide is unique to you vs a generic program given to all clients like most other coaches.

Why are your prices higher than therapists or other coaches?

What we charge is a reflection of what we know is possible for you and what we think you are worth. We know that if our services were cheap you wouldn’t take it seriously and we don’t work with ‘toe-dippers”. We serve clients who are all in and aren’t afraid to invest in themselves because they are so ready to transform their lives. What we do is not your average therapy / counseling / coaching work. It is deeply connected, high-touch, transformational and extremely life-changing. We are in it every step of the way and the results we get with our clients reflect that… As one of our mentors says: “If you are the cheapest, people don’t expect the best and if you are the best, people don’t expect the cheapest!”

What if I can’t afford your sessions?

We totally get it: our prices are not attainable for everyone. We also know that that investing in ourself is life-changing and we offer a lot of ‘bang for you buck’. When you do work with us we don’t waste time getting you results and our biggest goal is getting you to a place where you don’t  need us ASAP. That being said, we know financial struggles are reallllll (been there before that’s for SURE) and so if working 1:1 is not in the cards for you, we do offer the option to ask us Qs and get support via text or voice note for a small fee.
